About Sarah

Sarah Colliver is an independent author living in Drybrook, nestled in the heart of the Forest of Dean. Her journey into writing began in earnest after the loss of her mother, when storytelling became a cathartic way to process grief and reconnect with her creative voice.

Living with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E.), a chronic neurological condition that affects energy and cognition, Sarah has embraced writing as a flexible and healing pursuit — one she now encourages others to explore "one word at a time".

Each day, the Forest of Dean breathes life into my imagination...

Her works span genres from historical fiction to thrillers, showcasing her flair for suspense and character-driven storytelling. Despite the challenges of chronic illness and the demands of self-publishing, Sarah continues to write and work part-time for the NHS.

I loved my trip to Laundry Cottage! It's very impressive how so much story has been squeezed into what felt like a very quick and immersive read. You are absorbed from chapter one. As if on a proverbial rollercoaster with Sybil and her Aunty Vi. Despite being away from the city, the effects of war are still prominent. This book captures how resillient those experiencing the war had to be, especially when faced with an unexpected turn of events... Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Look forward to reading more from the author.

What a book! This one kept me as engrossed as the first. The twists continued throughout the entire book, keeping me desperate to read at every opportunity possible. The ending was further from what I'd expected! I'm now going to be looking out for a potential third sequal, or hoping that one is written in time.
